Gnome?

So I was blog walking and I happened to come across a very interesting blogger. "voilĂ  Vannessa" she has a blog titled "yugioh-player-horoscope" here she talks about the different archetypes of Yugioh and the people who pilot them. Haha just wanted to share my "horoscope" from her site xD

Scraps (Gnomes) These are the intellectuals of the group. They tend to always be on the smarter side of the spectrum. I would describe them as the "lovable nerd" that you cant seem to hate. They are smart, but never obtrusive with their knowledge. For the most part, these people do not make enemies easily.

Oh yea! I'm a lovable nerd! Haha

Here's a link to her page here

BLS Unbanned???

yugioh blog

Soo as most of you know, 6 new gold series cards were shown to the public by konami. Of those six, one caught my eye the most. BLS. No not a Bacon Lettuce Sandwich... Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning.

With konami "testing the meta waters" with chaos sorcerer for a few formats, and BLS coming in as a gold rare... I think they will soon test the meta waters with BLS at a limited status.

Well... If bottomless was unlimited and the priority rules in effect, I don't see why why not. :) we have the warning bros, bottomless, and other cards to deal with it anyways. However, it will be a force to be reckoned with even at 1 per deck.

Problem-Solving Card Text?

Hey guys Stitch here and there’s some pretty interesting news. According to Kevin Tewart, Konami’s current U.S. head of development, stated some new changes in card texts. These changes will be produced and introduced to TCG players around July 2011!
  • Remove from play your monster!!
So first off remember the phrase “My Chaos Sorcerer will remove from play your monster” well after July we’ll be saying “My Chaos Sorcerer will Banish your monster” Yes, Konami will be changing the phrase “Remove from play” to “Banish. Honestly it does clear up some confusion while reading card effects. (It’s similar to “Removed from the field” and some people get mixed up)
  • “Is removed from field” is now “Leaves the field”.
Hey so now we have “banished” and “leaves the field”
  • Piercing battle damage.
Remember your Black Winged Armed Wing’s text stating
- “If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, it gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step only. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower then the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.”
Well now it will say
- ““If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, it gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step only. During battle, inflict piercing damage when attacking a defense position monster”
Wow a lot less confusing and easier to read lol!
  • “Select as an attack target
This is being changed to “targeted for and attack”
  • Hero monsters
Elemental heros, Destiny heros, Evil heros (and the upcoming Masked and Vision heros) will have the “hero” part of their name changed to “HERO”. This will also lead to the simplification of effects. Instead of Stratos’ effect stating “you can add 1 evil hero, elemental hero, or destiny hero card from your deck to your hand” it will be saying “You can add 1 HERO card from your deck to your hand”

Just thought this was interesting. Thanks ^^;

New Backround

Hey guys! Stitch here again and I’m wondering if any of you know how to create backrounds and banners. Looked at my blog for a while and felt it was rather dull. If any of you (people who are viewing this blog) can create a backround and a matching banner for this page, it would be awsome! Thanks!

Ideas:
Backround
  • Mostly Black backround
  • Yu-Gi-Oh monsters on the left and right side of the backround. So they can be seen while viewing the blog
  • What monsters? You choose. Have fun lol.
Banner
  • Something to match the backround.
  • The word “StitchStitch” must be on it
  • Have fun! ^^
  • Make sure to put a signature on there so people know who made the banner. :)

You can send me the images and/or contact through:
Email : SDCtenorboy@yahoo.com
Yahoo IM: SDCtenorboy@yahoo.com
Skype : stitchstitch8d

Again, Thanks to those who accept.

Dueling Network

Duelingnetwork

Soooo Dueling Network. The new Online virtual dueling system. I recently just got hooked on it so I decided to do a short blog about it.Oh the picture will link you to the website if you wanted to check it out. :)

Some things I personally like about it:
- It gives you the option to put monsters into spell zones for your unions/dragunities/armory arm/Crystal Beasts/etc.
- It gives you the option to put your spells/traps into monster zones. Great for trap monsters haha
- Easy to play (Just make an account and boom! you can play! No download needed)
- Has a catchy opening theme/sequence.
- Has all cards including the ones in OCG (Minus the exceeds)
- Saves me money XD (Testing cards out before buying them is pretty cool)

Things that I think would make it better:
- Level eat system for level eater
- Atk/Def modifier for equips/effects that increase atk/def
- More token selection (they only have goat tokens with 0 atk/ 0 def)

With all those aside, I think it’s a really great website for both casual and professional duels. Thanks for reading.
Till next time~

Card of the Month May 2011 : Reborn Tengu

Name: Reborn Tengu
Attribute: Wind
Stars: 4
Type: Beast-Warrior
Effect: When this card is removed from the field, Special Summon 1 "Reborn Tengu" from your deck.
Atk: 1700
Def: 600

With the release of Extreme victory and this little guy, the strategies of some decks are gonna change. This card is just too good not to have.

Decks that can use this:

Plants
- With Tengu they have a useful non-tuner, 1700 beater that can ram into troublesome cards replacing itself. It also makes pot of avarice more playable since it thins the deck alongside lonefires, card troopers, and rykos.

Scraps (Oh man my favorite deck lol)
- Now scraps have an awsome non-tuner who can be used as synchro material for scrap dragon and can be used for his effect all in one move. :D
 - Tengu on field > summon Scrap beast > Synchro beast and tengu for scrap dragon > tengu's effect kicks in grabbing another tengu > Scrap dragon pop tengu > Tengu grabs yet another tengu! pretty cool if you ask me.

Fableds
- In here, it won't be as bad when you draw 2 or more tengus. You have discard cards anyways and hey it makes avarice playable. Fableds can spam the field quickly with tuners which leaves spots open for good non tuners. Hey! there's tengu!

Mist Valleys
- For those who know me, they know I'm a big fan of random "rogue" decks. Mist valleys happen to be one of them. Tengu can attack your opponent, Mist valley falcon can attack (bringing tengu to the hand), Summon another tengu and attack again. That's 1700 + 2000 + 1700 = 5400 lifepoints! Also, the mist valley field spell "Divine wind of mist valley" has some pretty nice combos with this guy.

Monarchs
- Tribute Tengu for a monarch, pop a card, get another tengu. 2400 + 1700 = 4100. Quick and simple.

The possibilities are endless with this guy. You can even use Ally Genex Birdman for a quick level 7, use it for a tribute for your monarch, even use enemy controller to tribute it off for your opponents card Hey look Tengu's back! However you play yugioh, make sure to look out and possibly grab a few of these cards.

But like all things, there's some rules to this guy.

- When Tengu is removed/destroyed/sent to the grave face down on the field, it does NOT get its effect. In other words, Reborn Tengu must be "Face up tengu" when it leaves the field if you plan on using its effect.
-If Reborn Tengu is attacked face down, it WILL get its effect because when attacked, it will flip up during damage calculation.
-The Effect is Mandatory (Which means it CAN be activated during the damage step)
- The Effect does NOT activate if Reborn Tengu is removed from the field to the deck.

Thanks guys hope this was helpful.
