Long time no see!

Hey readers, followers, fellow bloggers, and everyone else!

A long time has passed since my last blog post. I think it's been 2 banned lists since. I'll be updating more frequently now that I found more time to. Later today, I'll post up some fun decklists and link my yugioh team's YouTube page here.

Later :)

**UPDATED** Crystal Beast Deck

**UPDATE** Found out there was an error in my deck list xD forgot some numbers *cough cough*

So, I decided to post a Crystal Beast build that I am going to build. It’s still in testing stages so help is appreciated. Thank you

Monsters (14)

  • 3 Crystal Beast Amber Mammoth
  • 2 Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
  • 3 Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus
  • 3 Crystal Beast Topaz Tiger
  • 3 Thunder King Rai-Oh

image  image  image

Spells (22)

  • 3 Ancient City – Rainbow Ruins
  • 2 Crystal Abundance
  • 2 Crystal Beacon
  • 3 Crystal Blessing
  • 2 Crystal Promise
  • 3 Crystal Release
  • 1 Crystal Tree
  • 3 Rare Value
  • 1 Terraforming
  • 1 Dark Hole
  • 1 Monster Reborn

image  image  image

Traps (4)

  • 3 Horn of the Phantom Beast
  • 1 Torrential Tribute

I Decided to make a crystal beast deck mainly for the new XYZ monsters. Carbuncle special summoning all of those crystal beasts is just too good to pass up. Also, since there are beast type crystal beasts, I am able to splash in 3 Horn of the Phantom beast.

Just a quick note : with Horn Topaz Tiger becomes a 2800 attacker. Wow!! XD

Fableds!

So after the sneak peak and some trades I decided to make a Fabled deck. I honestly never even took a look at the archetype in depth but made a deck with what I got/traded for. Also, constructive criticism is advised xD  Here’s the deck list :

image  image image

Monsters (33)

  • 3 Fabled Raven
  • 3 Fabled Grimro
  • 3 Fabled Kushano
  • 2 Fabled Soulkius
  • 3 Fabled Krus
  • 2 The fabled Peggulsus
  • 2 The Fabled Cerburrel
  • 1 The Fabled Catsith
  • 1 The Fabled Nozoochee
  • 3 Level Eater
  • 3 Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter
  • 3 Magical Merchant
  • 1 Stygian Street Patrol
  • 1 Morphing Jar
  • 1 Sangan
  • 1 Glow-up Bulb

image image image

Spells (7)

  • 2 Pot of Avarice
  • 1 Charge of the Light Brigade
  • 1 Card Destruction
  • 1 Foolish Burial
  • 1 Monster Reborn
  • 1 Giant Trunade

Extra Deck: (15)

  • 1 Stardust Dragon
  • 1 Scrap Dragon
  • 1 Ancient Sacred Wyvern
  • 1 Gaia, The Force of Earth
  • 2 Hyper Librarian
  • 2 Black Rose Dragon
  • 1 Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
  • 1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier
  • 1 Mist Wurm
  • 2 Fabled Ragin
  • 1 Fabled Unicore
  • 1 Fabled Valkyrus

That’s the deck list. As you can see, there’s a very high monster count, no traps, and a small amount of spells. This is because I want to utilize Magical Merchant’s ability to dump a large amount of cards to the grave to fuel for avarice and to get needed cards to the grave.  Soulkius starts combos with Level Eater, Stygian Street Patrol, Glow-Up Bulb, Kushano etc. This is just an experimental build so help is appreciated! thanks!

Plaguespreader Imposter???

image image

So as many people know, Plaguespreader Zombie is one of the cards that finds its way into many decks. From plants to chaos to Blackwings. The list goes on and on. However, it’s limited status only gives it that much power.

Recently, Konami has introduced another zombie card. This one goes by the name of Pain Painter. It has the same exact stats as Plaguespreader Zombie. 400 attack, 200 defense, Zombie type, Tuner, 2 Stars, Dark attribute. It even has the same facial expression.

Zombie decks have many exclusive synchro monsters that other decks cannot play. The reason behind this is because Plaguespreader is the key to these exclusive synchros. These synchros are:

image imageimage

Of these level 6 synchros, Archfiend Zombie-Skull is the hardest to summon. It also has one of the most strongest effects. It requires Plaguespreader Zombie + 2 or more non-tuner Zombie type monsters. That means you need

  • “Plaguespreader Zombie” + two level 2 zombie type monsters.
  • “Plaguespreader Zombie” + one level 1 zombie type monster + one level 3 zombie type monster
  • “Plaguespreader Zombie” + four level one zombie type monsters.

Yes, it is quite difficult to summon this monster but our new friend Pain Painter makes all this easier. It becomes a Plaguespreader clone the moment it hits the field, and it can even adjust the levels of other monsters on the field to help you make the Synchro Summons you need. It’s also flexible enough to help summon the new Exceed/XYZ monsters.

This card is available in the new booster pack set named Generation Force. This is just another one of those cards that are on many people’s wish lists. Keep an eye out for it!

Card of the Month July 2011 : Pot of Duality

image

Sure the card has been out for quite some time now. Yes it is hard to get and expensive. However, a new product from Konami will change this. The two new 2011 Wave 1 Collectible Tins both come with a copy of Pot of Duality.

Pot of Duality is a Spell Card that lets you reveal the top 3 cards of your Deck, add 1 to your hand, and then shuffle the other 2 back.  You can only activate 1 Pot of Duality each turn, and you can’t Special Summon on the turn you do. However despite these “drawbacks”, it lets you draw into your most important cards faster and more often.

Some types of cards it helps you dig out of your deck are as follows

  • One of Cards
  • Combo Pieces
  • Power Cards
  • Side Deck Cards

This is a very powerful card because of the advantage this card can give you. On your first turn, you start with 6 cards in hand and if one of those is Pot of Duality, you can activate it and you’ll see a total of 9 cards from your deck. By the time your next turn comes by, you will have seen 10 cards from your deck. This is a very strong stand point especially if you drew into the right cards.

Every deck can use this card but there are some that increase in power so much that it’s almost impossible to play without a couple copies of Pot of Duality main decked. Some great examples are :

  • Gravekeepers
  • Stun
  • Agent/Fairy
  • Naturia
  • Worms
  • Gladiator Beast (Proved by Intch95)
  • Blackwings
  • Heroes

The reason why this is my card of the month for July 2011 is not only because of its powerful effect but of how easy it will be to obtain copies of this card.

WT* is right!!!

Soooooooo I was looking at updates from other Yugioh bloggers and one post really stood out. The post was created by Dueling Legacy and it was titled "WTF"

Now out of common human curiosity I clicked it and I saw probably one of the most broken cards ever. Well... To me atleast.

Here's the link to the card

Rescue… Rabbit?

imageimageimage

So everyone is blogging about it, everyone is excited, little girls are squealing, and I’m like woa….

This is a short blog about the new “Rescue Cat.” Despite it’s cute, furry appearance, this little thing is very vicious (in the right hands of course).

According to Yugioh Wikia, Here is Rescue Rabbit’s Stats:

4 stars

Earth type

Beast/Effect monster

Attack : 300

Defense : 100.

Effect:

This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Deck. During your Main Phase: You can banish this face-up card; Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters with the same name from your Deck. Those monsters are destroyed during the End Phase. The effect of "Rescue Rabbit" can only be used once per turn.'

There are certain decks that can make use of Rescue Rabbit’s abilities, some include Gladiator Beasts, X-Sabers, and even E-Hero decks.

The possibilities start with you…
